Mayor Investigates and Empowers the Development of Ruitai Hawthorn Industry

On February 18, 2022, Wang Yajun, Mayor of Chengde City, and his delegation visited Chengde Ruitai Food Co., Ltd. for research and guidance, focusing on the high-quality development of the hawthorn industry and its effectiveness in supporting farmers, aiming to set direction and solve problems for the enterprise, thereby helping to further improve Chengde's characteristic agriculture.

During the investigation, Mayor Wang Yajun visited the enterprise's processing park and R&D centre, comprehensively understanding the full chain development of Xinglong hawthorn from planting to processing, from production process specifications to product innovation directions. After hearing the enterprise's development report, the Mayor affirmed Ruitai's approach of creating distinctive products based on local resources. He emphasised the importance of leveraging Xinglong's geographical advantage as "China's Hawthorn Capital", building quality foundations through standardised production, and enhancing product value through brand operation, to make "Chengde Hawthorn" a golden brand of regional characteristic agriculture.

During the discussion, Mayor Wang Yajun focused on the practical effectiveness of industrial empowerment in rural revitalisation. Upon learning that the enterprise has helped numerous farmers increase their income through benefit-linking mechanisms, he emphasised that leading enterprises should continue to play their guiding role and further strengthen cooperation ties with farmers, allowing the benefits of industrial development to reach rural areas more extensively. Regarding common issues faced by enterprises in development, such as talent and technology, the Mayor coordinated with relevant departments on-site, specifying the provision of precise services in terms of policy support and resource connection to clear obstacles for enterprise development.

At the end of the investigation, Mayor Wang Yajun encouraged the enterprise, stating that Xinglong's hawthorn industry is an important pillar of Chengde's rural revitalisation. As a leading enterprise, it should bravely shoulder responsibilities, focus on deep processing, and seek breakthroughs in brand building to drive more farmers' income growth through industrial upgrading.
